Organisation
Living with Equal Opportunities (formerly Known as Play Association Hammersmith & Fulham), recently launch itself, with a name that reflects more of the services that we provide.
LEO's is a West London charity which focuses on SEN young people aged 8-18+ years, who come from the local community (London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham) and surrounding boroughs, from disadvantaged backgrounds and/or have complex needs.

During the summer holidays we receive a small additional funding for activities from the Daisy Trust, a local charity. With this grant, we were able to extend the local trips for the young people. We did additional swimming session especially due to the heatwaves this summer, oxygen – Trampolining and cinema where there was air-conditioning, to get some relieve from the heat.

Big thank you to the Julia Rausing Trust for funding the summer trips during the holidays, this year. The SEN young people enjoyed the experience of the venues; Oxygen, Wetlands, Chiswick house – inflatable Obstacle course, London Zoo, Chessington, Transport museum, Battersea Park Zoo, bowling, swimming, bike riding, stables, cinema and Hounslow Urban Farm to name but a few.

This year summer trips and activities were funded by John Lyons Charity, funding transport, entrance etc.
The group went on several mini-bus transported trips for the group.
First trip was to Thames Valley Adventure Playground for SEND young people and adults – the whole group went. Set in open space looking over a lake with glass floor where you can watch the fish swimming, in the main room which also offers space for arts & crafts, sensory room, soft playroom, and outside activities; sand pit, water play, go karts, swings, zip wire, pirate ship, climbing castle and nature walk. Feedback from Parents was that their young people came home relaxed and happy. In addition, we visited London Zoo, London Aquarium, London Transport Museum and Crystal Palace Park to see the dinosaurs, as well as Oxygen – trampolining, swimming, bowling.

Today marks another milestone in our 20 year history as we finalise our move from White City.
This is a massive step forward that will enable us to support even more young people with additional needs and their families.
We look forward to our new chapter at our new venue and thank you everyone who has supported us on our 20 year journey to this point.
